RESPONSIBILITIES: 

- Accountable for the development of the organization’s reserving and pricing practices and policies.
- Make appropriate recommendations to the management related to reserving.
- Assist underwriters in pricing.
- Generate periodically statistics to supervise changes in rates.
- Provide actuarial support and develop actuarial standards & techniques.
- Fulfill the regulatory requirements and provide excellent practice on actuarial standards.
- Experience in strategic planning and management reporting.
- High level of actuarial technical skills.
- Signing Actuarial statements of opinion and Actuarial certifications as required by Canadian regulator. 




QUALIFICATIONS: 

- FCAS, FCIA.
- Minimum 10+ years experience in P&C insurance pricing & reserving is preferred.
- Excellent understanding of property/casualty insurance – including commercial and professional lines.
- Knowledge of actuarial techniques and principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in VBA and Access.
- Proven problem solving skills.
- Predictive modeling experience is preferred.
